King of Monaco

The King of Monaco is deader than 3 door nails, but it seems he is a little late. He comes in a distant third for our contest behind Terri Schiavo and the Pope. Way to go, your Highness.

Google Ad Search

I think I knew this in the back of my mind, but it just struck me going over my own page. Google Ad Search simply looks for the most used word on the page. So it doesn't matter if I write:

The Pope has passed away and the Pope's funeral will be a truly sad event.

or

The Pope is a dirty motherfucker as will be the next Pope. I am still glad the last Pope is dead. I wish he really were the LAST Pope.

It's all the same to Google Ad Search.

Anyway Pope Pope Pope.

Winners and Losers on the Big Boards

Number of popes who have died since the beginning of the AIDS epidemic 1. Number of AIDS victim in the same time in part due to the brave stance of the Catholic church against contraception: 21.8 Million and counting.
Vatican 1. Developing World 0. Play on.

The Pope . . .

is dead.

The King of Monaco vs. the Pope: A battle of wills

You'd think that with Terri Schiavo's first place finish the action might be less intense from her two opponents, but neither of these men seem willing to come in last. The King of Monaco has been deemed too ill to perform his duties by royal advisors, while Bishop Angelo Comastri weighed in with his own (perhaps overly cocky) prediction that "This evening or this night, Christ opens the door to the pope."
In perhaps my favorite turns of events however, they have decided not to put the Pope on a breathing machine--a thing that catholics around the world demanded of a braindead, suffering, non-believing Terri Schiavo in the name of "a culture of life." This may possibly disqualify the Pope from our contest.
